mhanke Posted November 3, 2006 Share #41 Posted November 3, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) My partner observed that in some ways it was a shame that you showed any of the monk's faces - it somehow removed some of the mystery and serenity inherent in the photos. I had a similar feeling when watching that fabulous slide show: the pictures showing only the walking figures, the large hats, the reactions of the people communicating with the monks, made me really curious about how the monks would look like. Are they old men? I was astonished to see the young faces, and I have to admit that once the secret was unveiled, the rest of the show could not keep up the tension any more. So personally, I would have placed the portrait pictures near the very end of the show, to stage that secret around the mens' faces a bit better. k_g_wolf ✝ Posted November 6, 2006 Share #43 Posted November 6, 2006 As the others above have stated: this is a magnificent series ! I enjoyed every photograph you have presented here. This is a real piece of photoart ... Unfortunately my computer can´t deal with the sound. Now I have decided to have somebody looking into this issue.
