flkin Posted March 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) For lenses without UV/IR filters, one option is to switch the ICC profile from the default Leica one to Jamie's colour corrected one. How does one do this in a batch? Switching the profile manually shot by shot is easy enough but I just can't figure out how to do it with multiple shots. Pressing the {Shift} button doesn't work and neither does Edit Selected Variants.
Advertisement Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi flkin, Take a look here Fast ICC Profile switching in Capture One 4.6.x. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wakewood Posted March 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2009 I help myself by setting the ICC for first image manually and then copy the setting with "copy adjustments" button top right. Then i scroll through the other images and use the neighbouring button "apply adjustments". All settings which you applied to the first image will be copied and subsequently applied unless you limit that in the adjustment clipboard. That works rather fast and you can check the results as you scroll through the images.
flkin Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted March 11, 2009 Yes that seems to be the most obvious way, but in my C1 version 4.6, the copy adjustments function doesn't copy the ICC Profile. I have also check marked the Camera Profile inside the The Adjustments Clipboard settings. Still doesn't work. Any ideas?
wakewood Posted March 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 11, 2009 Yes that seems to be the most obvious way, but in my C1 version 4.6, the copy adjustments function doesn't copy the ICC Profile. I have also check marked the Camera Profile inside the The Adjustments Clipboard settings. Still doesn't work. Any ideas? Strange, I just tried it again and it did work, even with different files (M8, DMR & Digilux 3). I use the 4.6.2.2.... build but that shouldn't matter, as that worked with the versions before as well.
flkin Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted March 11, 2009 Ah, just discovered that you can copy and paste ICC profiles that came with Capture One. Just doesn't work with the Jamie profiles only. I wonder if it's the way or where I placed the Jamie profiles. What is the correct procedure to import the profiles? wakewood Posted March 11, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 11, 2009 ...I wonder if it's the way or where I placed the Jamie profiles. What is the correct procedure to import the profiles? Jamie's profiles work that way as well. There should have been a txt file generated when you unzipped his download giving respective instructions. Philippe D. Posted March 11, 2009 Share #7 Posted March 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I wonder if it's the way or where I placed the Jamie profiles. What is the correct procedure to import the profiles? The profiles, on a PC, are in the directory x:\xx\Phase One\Capture One 4\Color Profiles\DSLR\ To be seen in C1, every profiles for the M8 should be named as "LeicaM8-xxx.icm" or .icc (for Jamie's = "LeicaM8-JHR_v1.icm" etc.) Hope this help. Cheers
wakewood Posted March 11, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 11, 2009 Another thing: uncheck 'show recommended only' in the icc profile drop down and look for them under 'other'
flkin Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted March 11, 2009 Thanks everyone, I'll give it a go. What about for Macs?
erl Posted March 11, 2009 Share #10 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi,The profiles, on a PC, are in the directory x:\xx\Phase One\Capture One 4\Color Profiles\DSLR\ To be seen in C1, every profiles for the M8 should be named as "LeicaM8-xxx.icm" or .icc (for Jamie's = "LeicaM8-JHR_v1.icm" etc.) Hope this help. Cheers Thanks Philippe, that works perfectly. If my memory serves me correctly, some earlier versions of C1 used a slightly different form for the profiles. I have been trying to use them in the latest version with no luck. Changing the 'underscore' to 'hyphen' and changing the 'm' to 'M' in the "M8" designation is necessary to make Jamies profiles appear quickly without searching. Bingo! flkin Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi all Somehow my Jamie profile got lost in the system and after moving it back inside the Capture One package under input profiles it's works fine now. Found out about the renaming matter by experimenting also and so now the profiles show under the recommended profile lists rather than Others same as Erl. And the copy and paste works properly now! You may still find some left from the previous version in x:\(your)windows(directory)\system32\spool\drivers\color\But windows and your printer and monitor some of them. Don't delete.
