Three Leica IIIc illustrated in here: First from the left, a 1940 issued , LOOZS (one of the first batch) with film rewind lever located on a stepped platform. with Elmar 3.5/50 lens, European scale iris numbers. Second is a military contract Fl. N°38079 for German air force engraved “Luftwaffen Eigentum” 1941/1942 issued ,with Summar 2/50 lens. Third, a postwar model 1946/1947 issued, LOOHW, without stepped platform film rewind lever, “sharkskin” kind vulcanite cover, with Elmar 3.5/50 lens, International scale iris numbers. The instructions for use booklet for the Leica IIIc is in French ,1949, printed . NB: the last 2 digits from serial numbers are modified to protect privacy.
