Advertisement Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Hi valnistr, Take a look here M6 and Nokton Voigtlander Classic 35/1.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted February 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 26, 2009 Try similar >>against the light<< shots without the filter. I don´t know anything about the quality of the TIFFEN-filter, but you are better off in such lightsituations without any filter. Best
martha Posted February 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 26, 2009 Hi Valeri: I don't know about the filter or the lens but I DO know that I burned a hole in the shutter curtain of my M4 years ago when I had it stopped way down, shooting directly into the sun. Curious if anyone else has had that problem....--martha
valnistr Posted February 26, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted February 26, 2009 i used summicron 35/2 for a while and i dont remember such kind of drawing againts the sun..sure i will do a test without a filter but maybe its just Nokton drawing/quality v
MattLain Posted February 26, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 26, 2009 The noktons tend to be well resistant of flare, my 40mm has been very good against the sun. Like advised above, test without the filter, I don't believe Tiffen are the best. You'd be better off with a Hoya HMC or B+W MRC if that proves to be the problem. wontonny Posted February 27, 2009 Share #7 Posted February 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) If you shoot into the sun I dont know how you wouldnt expect to get flare.
E.M Posted February 27, 2009 Share #8 Posted February 27, 2009 I don't always mind flare, it think it can add something to the image. I remember an advertising shot from Gucci of two beautiful women ( in a park and with flare, very natural and sunny) in Vogue magazine and loved it !
