Enrique Santa Posted October 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Since several weeks ago I have not been seeing any thread or post about this cam or her Pana sister. In DP Preview forums "Leica talk" is plenty about Dlux 3 , some post about M8, but very few, i think none about Digilux 3. I would like to see some sample pics of this cam, at 800 Iso or higher, because i think this will be posible the real problem with this cam: noise at higt iso levels. I don´t find any samples. I´m begining to think that there is a real problem with this cam; overpriced....sure, take a look at Oly E-400, noise?, not a real Digilux 2 update?. I would be glad if some of you have any pics samples of this Leica-Pana cams and share with us, specially at hight Iso levels. Thank you very much. Guest stnami Posted October 23, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 23, 2006 There is a guy in Oz that has been trying to offload a Panasonic DMC-L1 for a few weeks, discounted but still no takers. HMMMMM
davidada Posted October 23, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2006 Hi I have posted several Dlux 3 images on this site - the camera is really a great addition to my arsenal as it allows me to have a small discreet camera at all times with me. The camera in my opinion is unuseable over 400 iso, the nooise filtering is very ugly, however I accept that for what it is and just dont shoot over 400 iso, overpriced yes, but so is every luxury item, again it is a personal descision , I value the looks and finish and I think Leica tweeked the software in the correct direction for a more film like look over the Panasonic. albertwang Posted October 23, 2006 Share #6 Posted October 23, 2006 Supposed to be rather awesome. Black and white is certainly delivering for sure.

David, are you sure you are not confusing the D-Lux3, which you refer to, with the yet to be officially released (in the UK at least) Digilux 3 (which is anything but small and discreet!), and which I believe this thread is about? It is unfortunate that the names are very similar especially when abbreviated!
miami91 Posted October 23, 2006 Share #8 Posted October 23, 2006 I think the reason for the silence is that there aren't any out there. I pre-ordered both the Digilux 3 and the D-Lux 3. I've taken delivery of hte D-Lux 3, but not the Digilux 3, which is still a few weeks away, apparently. Jeff.
