Richard D Posted February 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, When I bought my camera back in late November, the mail-in materials said I would receive a nice leather case to hold both an extra SD card and spare battery. Has anyone seen/received theirs yet?? Thanks, Rich
Advertisement Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hi Richard D, Take a look here Leather card & battery case for D-Lux 4?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
storybrown Posted February 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2009 I don't know about the D-Lux 4, but when I got a C-Lux 1 the mail-in stuff said the same thing, or nearly so (not quite the same items) & I received a case pretty quickly. Ditto C-Lux 2. If you haven't received yours yet, even considering the holidays, I think it's too long & you ought to check on it. It's not a great loss, to be sure, but still . . . Good luck! seascape Posted February 12, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2009 I bought my D-Lux 4 in Dec, and mailed the card around New Year's, give or take a couple of days. I received my case this week. Quite frankly, I was a bit disappointed by it, so don't expect much. It's pretty cheaply made.
USA road racer Posted February 12, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 12, 2009 I purchased a V-Lux 1 and a D-Lux 4 in Dec. & Jan. Got the first leather case for I hope the D-Lux 4. It will NEVER hold a spare battery for the V-Lux 1 as it is 1/2 the size of the battery! It DOES have the "Red Dot" logo on the case so I guess that's cool. But it's made to store SD cards without a plastic case. I guess that's OK, but I'll keep my original plastic cases & use them, thank you! I'd rather have my rebates!!!! Richard D Posted February 12, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted February 12, 2009 Thanks, everyone. After hearing the responses here, I decided to give Leica in New Jersey a phone call this morning. I have to say that the general operator who responded to my questions must be one of Leica's biggest assets. She was patient, friendly, professional, and went out of her way for me. Kudos to both her and Leica.
