Annibale G. Posted February 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I need just an advice, I'm using an M7 with 35mm with a flash Metz GN max 44m. I'll use iso 1600, TTL flash in bounce technique, subject will be at 1mt more or less; I don't want to see the flash effect on the photos, what aperture do you suggest me to use ? f/4 or f/5,6 in combination with 1/50 sec. (p.s. exposure without flash is 1/50 f72,8; without flash photo will be gray )
Advertisement Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Hi Annibale G., Take a look here Flash technique. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TimF Posted February 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 11, 2009 Changing the aperture on the lens I think will just affect the distance affected by the flash rather than reducing the obviousness of it. If you can apply flash exposure compensation on the gun, try reducing it by approx 1.6 stops. The bounce you're using might mean some experimentation is required.
