Advertisement Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hi MPerson, Take a look here Adox CMX 20 Film?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thomasw_ Posted February 13, 2009 Share #22 Posted February 13, 2009 Thanks! I see you got good shadow detail in the first pic. How did you develop? I like your seocnd shot best, and it would look even better printed. I remmeber having the same haloes when I scan the negative directly (which I assume is what you did here). Hi Ned, The first shot was shot backstage just prior to my daughter's first big dance performance....she was nervous and trying to focus and stay calm. I was quite surprised by my 'shadow-detail-luck' in using adox cms 20 in low light I wedged my arm against a doorframe and shot it at f1,4 @ 1/2 second. It was the last of a roll before I switched over to trix. But I am glad that I took a chance. Considering that, it is reasonably 'sharp'. I love the tonality in the second picture the best, too; and it gives the best indicator of what this film normally renders in terms of tones, as it is the closest in tone to your shots. For both shots, I used the adotech developer that adox sells for cms 20 @ 10mL to 250mL water. [OP -- adox cms 20 can be razor sharp, too. But some of the best 'pop' from this film comes when you see the tones in the OOF areas]. Sorry for the long-winded reply. OP -- I use rodinal to develop panf+50.
