Like many fellow members I too have missed using my Leica M6. It is a different feeling handling a M6 over the M8. However, the expendiency of using a Leica M8 is wonderful. I enjoy shooting chrome, but would like to know what is the preferred way that members digitize their film.

Minolta scanner, Vuescan driver, scanned in as a DNG negative. Tons of dynamic range to work with before you convert it to jpeg or tiff. I won't go back until they give me full frame. (though the M8 is an outstanding camera!)

If you want your chromes scanned the right way, send them here Bob Korn Imaging

Bob uses a Hasselblad/Imacon scanner and the resulting prints are outstanding, even from a 35mm size chrome.
