Advertisement Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Hi truando, Take a look here Leica M8 and Aperture??. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
John Maio Posted October 22, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2006 It does support the Digiux 2, however. Apple - Aperture - Wide Support for Leading Cameras
bradreiman Posted October 22, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2006 god willing they'll get the m8 dng in there. i really like aperture. its great with digilux 2 raw but i don't have high hope for m8 compatibility. i thought when i bought my dlux2 that aperture would come right out with support but it never happened. my fingers are crossed...b
jonoslack Posted October 22, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 22, 2006 I love aperture - however, it's clearly targeted at professionals, so they have some excuse in not supporting digicams. The M8 is different though, and it seems to me that they really must get support together - especially as they claim to support DNG . . . . which is what the M8 files are. kind regards jono slack jonathan slack - photographs

Hi there - by digicams I meant compact lcd only cameras like the Ixus and digilux cameras as opposed to dSLR cameras, digital backs and (now) rangefinders. The only 'updated scripts' I've seen is when new cameras come out with similar raw files to previously supported models. RAW support for Aperture is in the core image processing in the operating system - I'm quite sure that we will have to wait for 10.4.9 before there will be any support for the M8. Mind you I'm pretty sure that will be out long before most of us get their M8's! kind regards jono slack jonathan slack - photographs
