Olsen Posted August 9, 2009 Share #1961 Posted August 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) .... I later searched under 'Montreal old buildings' and that's how I finally found it. It was a lot of fun... --------------------- Frans What 'old' buildings in Montreal...? I read from Wikipedia: 'Montreal was incorporated as a city in 1832...' My house here in Oslo is from 1814 (or thereabouts, nobody really knows how old it is), a rather new one, and the city of Oslo became capital of the Norwegian Kingdom in year 1048... vertekijker Posted August 9, 2009 Share #1962 Posted August 9, 2009 (edited) 'Old', relatively speaking. I lived in Los Angeles - I saw them destroy an old 'car wash' from 1955 to make a parking lot. People were bemoaning the loss of another historical landmark! I'm from '55 myself - an 'historical landmark'? --------------------- Frans Edited August 9, 2009 by vertekijker

Guest suilvenman Posted August 9, 2009 Share #1968 Posted August 9, 2009 Exquisite photo, Frans, and a nice contrast to the snow, ice and low temperatures of the previous images. I'm still on holiday and, unfortunately, not yet in a position to offer a direct answer. Cheers, Ken.
vertekijker Posted August 10, 2009 Share #1969 Posted August 10, 2009 Let me give a little hint. We're not in a village or a small city, but in an important town in Southern France. Thank you for your comments on the photo Ken! ------------------- Frans

Guest suilvenman Posted August 10, 2009 Share #1977 Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) Those gothic style buildings look too modern for Europe - there's a bit of a Hollywood feel to them. I'd say some prestigious US university. Cheers, Ken. Edited August 10, 2009 by suilvenman
