vertekijker Posted February 17, 2014 Share #13367 Posted February 17, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Pitigliana? ------------ Frans
woorob Posted February 17, 2014 Share #13368 Posted February 17, 2014 Yes, it's a view of the Lente River gorge near Pitigliano. From the book: "The drive from Pitigliano to Sorano on the SP 4 and then to Sovana on the SR 22 is another spectacular drive with extraordinary roads lined with Etruscan tombs and vie cave cut into the hillsides. The short (19 km) but gorgeous drive is along a single-lane winding road carved in places through the tufa. Along the route, there are also spectacular views of Sorano and the Lente River gorge." Over to you my friend!
vertekijker Posted February 17, 2014 Share #13369 Posted February 17, 2014 Thank you Bob. Interesting place that I have to visit one day. The Etruscan culture is so mysterious. I'll post something later - have to dig a bit in my archives. Cheers, Frans
