Gaal Posted October 12, 2010 Share #5773 Posted October 12, 2010 No, Though it is a celebration with the natives of the whole region, it is a catholic celebration, only to the specific area (which is bigger than the picture seems to suggest) Now let me give you another hint, before you ask for one: Find the answer TODAY, it will be easier than tomorrow
ML_Holmes Posted October 12, 2010 Share #5774 Posted October 12, 2010 Columbus landing in Mexico?
Gaal Posted October 12, 2010 Share #5775 Posted October 12, 2010 Good try, but he arrived on one of the islands of the Lucayos, and Columbus day is not celebrated in Mexico as such. Tough all of latin america celebrates "el día de la raza" celebrating the union of of the mixture of the hispanics and the local people, more than the arrival of Columbus Now there is another celebration, today 1.8 milion people did participate ( a little less than last year) in only one area of Mexico, so it is not a small event. I guess that should guide you allright
ML_Holmes Posted October 12, 2010 Share #5776 Posted October 12, 2010 Then it may be indepence day celebrations for all of central america? which is actually sept 12, but costa rica was a month late. But I have no idea where.
