The thread almost moved to page 2. I was going to let this one pass - I have been on more than I should, I think... But then I took the clue from Coach and typed in Google search: '19th century Englishman Italian villa' and immediately found a reference to a 'Villa Hanbury' - never heard of it. I copied and pasted in Google images. To my great surprise the photos matched! The whole thing took me only seconds.... It is located very close to the french border between Menton (france) and Vintimiglia (italia). you'll find in google more infos about that. Its'up to you.
