Advertisement Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here Paris, Institut de France seen from the other side of the Seine. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
richam Posted October 21, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 21, 2006 Steve, Good eye to find this spot for the image. I probably would have tried to get more of a "touristy" shot by taking a photo from the bridge. That would have missed the water reflections and bridge geometry, which are very effective in your image.
leicamann Posted October 22, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2006 Hmm a bit of a tilt to the left.... also would have prefered it in color...this seems to harsh and contrasty. Especially knowing what smooth rendering the 5D can do!! Thanks for sharing. Regards, Leicamann
stunsworth Posted October 22, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 22, 2006 Hi John. I agree that it'st contrasty. I had to so some work on this image, and the lighting was very harsh when you you compare the building to the bridge. I'm not so sure about the tilt to the left. I've looked at this in Photoshop with a grid and the verticals look pretty vertical to me - see the lamposts on the bridge. Thanks for looking. robert_parker Posted October 23, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2006 Steve I like the reflections on the water - the processing has added to their effect
