The German forum seems to have picked up on this, but I've seen no mention on the international forum yet:

Leica lens for Nikon cameras

One does have to have some nerve and be handy with a screwdriver....

There are some posts and picture links from an experimenter on the Leica Users GROUP (archives) who has converted and used 19 (old style), 90 and 180 lenses.

Something to do while waiting for the R10...

[edit] Hi, Andy - the search function turned up only posts in German, except for one early one referencing the Pentax version and that a Nikon version was "in progress"..Sorry if I missed something.

I've got a D-80, which I've been considering selling to get a system that will accomodate Leica glass. But I do have a few bucks invested in some nice Nikon lenses, so I'd rather find a way to get R lenses to sit happily on what I already own. Just how evil is this as a solution?

thanks T.

Evil enough to make me think I'll keep an eye out for cheap R lenses ;)
