Guest noah_addis Posted January 27, 2009 Share #1 Â Posted January 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought I'd share that I finally got a new website up with some new projects shot with the M8. The site still has a few flaws that will be worked out soon. If you have a small laptop screen I recommend the fullscreen mode since I haven't got the scaling right yet. Â Anyway, the Wall Street project and Serving the Nation project are all M8. Â Istanbul and Cuba are film M. Â Iraq is Nikon D1h with 20mm lens. Singles are mostly Nikon or Canon DSLR with a few oddball Nikon film or Hexar AF shots thrown in. Â Noah Addis

plasticman Posted January 27, 2009 Share #3  Posted January 27, 2009 Hi Noah  It's interesting, you seem to frame your images differently with the different cameras (or is it simply the 20mm lens?) - the Iraq images are cropped with a lot of tension around the edges of the frame, and they're alive with suffering. Great images.
rob_w Posted January 27, 2009 Share #4 Â Posted January 27, 2009 Second that. Noah, they are all good ... the Iraq photos are special! Â Robert

nugat Posted January 27, 2009 Share #7 Â Posted January 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Noah, I am really surprised. Some of those Iraq pictures are World Press Photo class. Are you a war photog? What brought you there? Piotr
Guest noah_addis Posted January 27, 2009 Share #8 Â Posted January 27, 2009 Piotr--I went to Iraq for the Star-Ledger, a paper I worked for until December. I decided to leave to go freelance and hope to do more traveling. Â Not sure if I would classify myself as a war photographer, but I am interested in documentary stories and go where the news (or an assignment) takes me. andybarton Posted January 27, 2009 Share #10 Â Posted January 27, 2009 I found it very difficult to move through your photos. Click on one, and you have to go back to the beginning to get to the next one. Â I must have missed most of your portfolio.
Guest noah_addis Posted January 28, 2009 Share #11 Â Posted January 28, 2009 Andy--Thanks for the warning. It needs work still I know. There are arrows to move between photos but maybe they are not showing in your window. I need to work on the scaling, sometimes the photos are too large and block the buttons on smaller screens or if you're viewing in a smaller window.
