rocket90 Posted January 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had my D-Lux 4 for a couple of weeks and have started to play around with RAW in the provided Capture One software, but I can't get the images to show up at all (jpegs and raw). All Capture One shows is the exposure warning symbol instead of the thumbnail or picture. What is going on? Am I missing something? I've watched the tutorial included with the Capture One cd and from all indications I should be able to see thumbnails as soon as I insert the camera card into the card reader on my iMac, as well as after I import the images. But all I see is the triangle with exclamation point symbol. Please help!
Advertisement Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Hi rocket90, Take a look here Help! D-Lux 4 images not viewable in capture one. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bono0272 Posted January 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 26, 2009 What version of Capture One are you using? I was using Capture One 4.0 and it cannot display D-Lux 4 images. Then I needed to install the Capture One 4.1 which comes along with the D-Lux 4 package then the problem solved.
rocket90 Posted January 26, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted January 26, 2009 I'm using the version that came with the camera, so it ought to work. And I've got the latest Mac OS X (10.5.6 Leopard). I haven't been able to find anything on the internet or in any forums about this issue, like I'm the only one having the problem.
rocket90 Posted January 26, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted January 26, 2009 Wow! Late breaking development! I went to the Capture One 4 site and downloaded the new 4.6 version. My images will now load!! I don't understand why the version that came with the camera wouldn't work, but all is well now so I'm happy! Thank you bono0272 for your willingness to help out! ho_co Posted January 26, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 26, 2009 r9-- I don't know what the difficulty might be in your case, but a new and different problem seems to have appeared with Capture One. You're probably already following the thread on the Forum, but if not, it's at: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-forum/76231-more-capture-one-difficulties.html. I don't know my way around Capture One well enough to make any suggestions; I hope someone else can help you with your problem. My guess is that it's some simple setting in Capture One that you're overlooking--I've done that more than once --and this is the first I've heard about not even being able to see the RWL files. You do have your import folder (or source folder or whatever they call it) set to match where you're importing from, right? Your card reader is compatible with your card (SD vs SDHC)? I'm out of my depth, but more info from you might help others--location of files (card or computer) etc. Edit: I had overlooked the fact that you're using Leopard--so am I, and I haven't had troubles like this. I downloaded a later version of Capture One before trying it, but now the version I had has been replaced with one that doesn't do as well with some aspects of the RWL conversion, as noted in the thread I mentioned above. Good luck! I'm sure you're right around the corner from success, but that's even more frustrating....
