miami91 Posted January 7, 2009 Share #24 Posted January 7, 2009 Thanks to Jeff and Robert, I'm now a user of 4.6. Wish I could buy you two a pint at dinner tonight............;-) Thanks for the sentiment, and glad it worked out! In fairness, Robert's suggestions were far better than mine --- all I could offer up was "it didn't work like that for me". Jeff.

Hookeye Posted January 18, 2009 Share #26 Posted January 18, 2009 I have C1 version 4.1.1 at present. Is there any point in upgrading to 4.6? I've read the release notes, but fail to find any compelling reasons. Would anyone be able to share his experience?

I've read the release notes, but fail to find any compelling reasons. Would anyone be able to share his experience? I've notice a real speed increase with the newest version. I don't use it much but when and if I do it open and closes faster and seem to be less buggy then older versions.

I've read the release notes, but fail to find any compelling reasons. Would anyone be able to share his experience? In my view there is, certainly for Windows users. If I remember with 4.1 you do not get a fully focused image at zoom levels under 100%. In v4.5 and now 4.6 fit to window and 25% and up show a focused image. This was slow in V4.5 but is much quicker in 4.6. The software becomes a little less rough at the edges with every update. Jeff
