andybarton Posted October 16, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 16, 2006 Can I help? What was the problem in loading?
mitchell Posted October 16, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 16, 2006 Thanks Andy. I don't seem to understand how to load. In the Mange Attachments field, I choose an image, clicked Upload, and the image name then appears in a box in Manage Attachments with a button to Remove, but not in the text field. If I preview, or submit, the image doesn't show up. Any help greatly appreciated. Some day I really will take an Ax to the computer. So far threatening it doesn't seem to work. Best, Mitchell You have done the hard part! I have just tried it, and the image should just appear below your text, provided it's not too big in dimension or file size. Does it have a .jpg extension? Can you see the paperclip icon above the text input field?
mitchell Posted October 16, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted October 16, 2006 Andy, I can't seem to see a paper clip icon anywhere. In the Reply to Thread, the Thread itself or the Manage Attachments. I really appreciate your help. Mitchell
mitchell Posted October 16, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted October 16, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) In Bridge the .jpg is listed as 214 KB. But if I open it in PS and go to Image Size, it's listed as 2.34M. Pixel Dimensions W-960, H-851 Document Size W-13.3 in. H 11.8 in Resolution 72 Are these OK. I thought Pixel Dimension and overall KB size were only things that mattered. I don't understand why Image Size is 2.34 after I've resized for Web at 214 KB. Thanks for any illumination. I'm not good at this stuff. Best, Mitchell
andybarton Posted October 16, 2006 Share #8 Posted October 16, 2006 Go to your Control Panel section and go to "Edit Options" the go to the bottom and make sure that Message editor Interface is "Full WYSIWYG" Then you will see the paper clip icon. Use that to add your image, which seems to meet all the criteria. You could email it to me, to see if I can upload it if you wish.

wda Posted October 16, 2006 Share #10 Posted October 16, 2006 Mitchell, another way is to Save for Web. Adjust the quality setting until the file size is within limits. If your pixel dimensions are also within limits, it will be fine. David
elansprint72 Posted October 18, 2006 Share #11 Posted October 18, 2006 One of the most annoying (and there are plenty of them) faults with this new forum is that if your image is too "big" (and it seems to have its own definition of "big"), it will not tell you, it just does not post the image. Progress, I suppose. Pete.
