Why not email Tom Abrahamsson and ask him if it will work on your M6? He's quite an approachable person and supports his products extremely well. You can find his email on his website.

Personally, if I were to choose between a Leicavit and Tom's Rapidwinder, I'd choose the Rapidwinder as it is made to be extremely durable. The Leicavit is great too sacrifices a bit of durabilty for a nicer form. The Rapidwinder is also much less expensive and one can count on Tom to support it as long as he can. I'm currently saving up for one of Tom's Barnackwinders for my IIIf.

According to TomA's homepage (http://www.rapidwinder.com), there are two versions for the M2 made. The older series was a limited edition (only 300 made) and later he made the M2-IXMOO (only 100 made), which also can be used with Leica's re-loadable IXMOO canisters. The other version for M Leica, Rapidwinder classic, fits the M4-2 and newer models.

actually I just want a black chrome leicavit for my m6. most of them are expensive.

I bought a Mint black Leicavit about 2 months ago for £300. It's a normal black one, not the glossy one.

One of our sponsors, Red Dot, have a black one for £249, which is a bargain, I'd say. Red Dot Cameras - Leicavit

Andy,

thanks a lot for this information.

This black one will fit to my new black paint MP.

The order is already placed but on Sunday I'll head to Noirmoutier and hope that my France Telecom connection works well in terms of online banking....

Bernd
