ASpes Posted December 26, 2008 Share #9 Posted December 26, 2008 HiI'm searching a focussing screen for my Digilux 3 Anyone knows where can I find it? Thanks Last year a friend of mine bought it from Katz-Eye as soon as they had it for his L1 and he had it installed by a Panasonic local service, and has been very pleased with it. Btw he bought the brighter version "Optibrite" which is more expensive but works better with darker lenses or when you stop down a manual lens. Installing the screen is a very delicate operation with an L1-D/3 as it must be carefully calibrated with shims, and K-E does not give instructions to do it yourself with this camera just for this reason. Any Leica or Panasonic service can do it for you. The Taiwan version is not as good as the K-E one but may be worth the risk if you can change it yourself, which is not the case with the L1-D/3 where you have also to pay to install it. Hope this helps.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted December 26, 2008 Share #10 Posted December 26, 2008 Albert, I purchased the optibrite katz screen and love it. Katz Optics focusing screen for the Digilux 3 Katz Eye Focusing Screen for the Olympus E 330 - Katz Eye Optics I find that the wede back aperatures on some of the fast film lenses causes some flare, and have been cutting a baffle and putting it in the lens adapter which have helped the contrast significantly. BoPhoto.com: Improve 35mm lens image quality on Olympus E system The Katz scree is Highly Recommended.

albertortizvalor Posted December 29, 2008 Author Share #12 Posted December 29, 2008 Thank you all... I think I'll try the K E option... a little bit more expensive but I think is better... gracias a todos al final creo que me decido por la opción de los americanos, que, aunque más carilla creo que funcionará mejor... a rascarse el bolsillo... viva la crisis...
