Advertisement Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Hi LuisRam, Take a look here Leica Digilux 3 or D-lux 4 ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Richard D Posted December 21, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2008 One of the few complaints I have with my D-Lux 4 is that the lens stretches only to 12.8mm. That's a little too short for head and shoulder portraits. So if close-up portraiture is a must, I'd have to recommend the Digilux 3. For everything else, the choice would be tougher. Personally, if I could only own one camera, it would be the D-Lux 4. It is the camera that is most always in my coat pocket.
fotmaesron Posted December 21, 2008 Share #3 Posted December 21, 2008 I love the D-lux4 for its compactness, look and feel ,and lens but not for its file quality. 400 and up is not good, flash is bad, Digilux3 has better file quality, but is clumsy, Digilux2 would be ideal with up to date sensor , but that’s only a dream... cfc247 Posted December 23, 2008 Share #4 Posted December 23, 2008 for portraits i think it's a no-brainer. With the Digilux 3 you can swap lenses and use R glass, Zeiss, and Nikkor legacy glass, some of which are renown for portraits. The D-lux 4 is all about portability being a priority without too much compromise in image.
