Hello, all. I've been researching the D-Lux 4 on this site and suprised by the lack of images posted so far. Other than the excellent site by Jim Radcliff and a recent thread started by ianho_ that makes a comparison against the LX3, there really isn't much posted. I say, "bring 'em on," show us what you've got.

Higher ISO and wide angle shots especially appreciated. If you'd post the ISO, aperture and shutter speed, so much the better. Generic broad daylight shots in flat lighting really aren't needed, unless there is some unique characteristic you want to share. Let's see how good this camera really is!

Scott,

nice photo's -- ever make it over to Portsmouth NH, very nice town with many photo oppotunities

Thanks! Portsmouth is a great little New England town. I might think about going over there as soon as I dig out from the snow around here (Manchester NH area).

Hi......If your thinking about the D-Lux 4 then from personal experience it is quite simply an outstanding P&S. I took the opportunity to grab one a few weeks back and on the occasions I have used it I have been very impressed with the overall image quality. If you browse through the Photo forum in Landscapes and a few other categories I have posted mainly B&W images; however, the colour rendition is excellent (I'm just going through a B&W phase :D ).

Across the forums there is alot of discussion about the merits of the Pany LX3 vs Leica D-Lux 4 which is the usual mix of pixel peeking and "size of ****" comparisons. At the end of the day the best image will derive from what you are prepared to pay the price of the equipment and how you use it. If your happy with the price, the image quality will speak for itself.

Merry Christmas!

I've had the camera for oh about a week or so. Its been fun to use. Love the images coming from the camera. I've shot RAW+JPEG mode Capture One is cool, wish I could have the color fringing control for RAW files like in Lightroom, which is in the PRO version..... Here are some images.....
