DWatts Posted December 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have tried to install Phaseones Captureone, supplied with my recently bought M8, only to have it lock up my computer when the installation gets to the language selection page. The only way to proceed is to switch off the computer mains supply. Leica were most unhelpful - take it up with Phase one - I was told. Phase one does not answer e-mails. Any suggestions out there.( Apart from binning the program and use Adobe !) David Watts, Cornwall. U.k.

george + Posted December 20, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 20, 2008 David, I have found Phase One folks most helpful, and very fast with their help to registered users. Capture 1 is different and people either love it or hate it. It is IMHO worth exploring.

Hullo George, I am sure I will fall into one of these two catagories ! - if only I could get some help from either Leica or Phaseone - to install it, David. Shootist Posted December 20, 2008 Share #6 Posted December 20, 2008 Have you turned off your AntiVirus program when doing the install. This could be the problem. Also you should download the most current version of Capture 1. I think it is at version 4.5.1. I've been running C1 in one version or another on one of my XP Pro PC's since I got my first M8, Jan 07. I've never had a problem installing any of the versions. But then I disable most of my AV program, AVG, and just have it scan my incoming and outgoing emails.
