These howitzers were and are very reliable, none of them has ever failed in service. Anyway they are fired with a bit less than a half charge. The N-SSA, the organization running this event, has been doing this for more than 50 years and in that time has never had an artillery accident. The "Stickers" are membership cards which must be visible during a shoot to ensure thatonly those who are supposed to be working the gun are doing so.
