palmskov Posted October 14, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) From my trip to Firenze I got a chance to take photos of this young Japanese couple. Never spoke to them however they didn't mind me taking photos of them while they were doing the same. For some reason perhaps in contrast to the decadence of being tourist who's generally taking very nice and cute photos, I wanted to portrait them in a trashy, wornout style. All shot with Digilux 2 and post progressed in photoshop. All comments are well appreciated as usual. Thanks for looking...
Advertisement Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Hi palmskov, Take a look here Japanese Tourists. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
azzo Posted October 14, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2006 Nikolaj ........ I very much like the way you approach to execute your photos. Best is definetely the first image shown. Regards Azzo
azzo Posted October 15, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 15, 2006 Nikolaj...Its Azzo again. Was looking at your images again, particularily the 4th. What do you think if you had to crop out the last 3 persons on the right and skewing slightly, ending with a square format image ? This way, you'll end up with a classic and much nicer looking image, in my honest opinion. Regards Azzo
palmskov Posted October 15, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 15, 2006 Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I normally seldom crop since I try to frame with the camera. I do this for learning - and not snobbish reasons as it might sound but anyway thanks for the tip...
azzo Posted October 15, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 15, 2006 Hi Nikolaj.... i have great respect for your photography and just wanted to tell that by cropping your 4th image, in my eyes, it sort of becomes a photo from the 60's period. Don't know if i'm explaining myself properly, but if you have some time, try it out to see what i mean. It's more intense an image when cropped from my honest point of view. Best Regards Azzo
