Just installed my new printer. An Epson 2880, and have just printed my first images captured with my D Lux 4.

I printed a Jpeg ,Pinhole Program image. Converted to 16bit Tiff, and minor editing done in Picture Window Pro, to a 10"X15" Color Image. The quality and rendition are great, very satisfied!

The second image was a full resolution image, slightly edited and converted in Capture One to a 48bit tiff, Converted to B&W and edited in PWP with minimal sharpening, and printed with a slight selenium tint on the 2880 at 10"X15"... Again, it looks amazing. Excellent acuteness and sharpness with no sharpening artifacts!

I also shoot with a Kodak DCS14n FF camera, which is no slouch in the acutance/sharpness domain, and this little Leica could give it a good run for the money!!! It looks like a toy, but believe me it certainly does not act like one.

When I am able to process and edit some more images, I would be glad to share them on this forum.

Some of the members on this forum have a presence on the Web with their work, and I am interested in learning about creating a web page or blog to be able to share some of my work more widely. Does any one have any opinions about which way migh be best? Would an image hosting site work just as well? I would like to be able to generate some income with this visibility if possible!

Thanks,

Gary

Thanks Bo,

I checked out the Zenfolio Site. Looks very interesting, and something that might work for me. How long have used their service? And some other questions, if you have time:

What service do you have?

Do you let them do the fulfillment, or do you print and service your own?

Do they have a list of their Partner services and costs, etc.?

Have you been successful with the service and your sales?

Are there suggested print prices, etc.

Thanks,

Gary

Gary,

get Adobe Lightroom and rent some space on a server (Westhost, or similar). Lightroom does a marvelous job in creating websites, Westhost has a bundle of ready made software for general websites.

I use this combination for some time ( see F-33 Home Page Hi5 ), however, I am not a particular great photographer.

Regards,

Sigi
