I have acquired a mint condition black chrome M4, with serial number of 1381649. I noticed that there is no "R" and the curved arrow symbol for the direction of rewinding on the top of the rewind lever. Seems that all chrome and black paint M4 have those two engraving on the lever, but not in black chrome one ? (as I saw one black chrome M4 printed on Leica collector guide by Dennis Laney also has no such engraving) Do any fellow member have information on that issue? Thanks a lot. Just few of them; earlier exemplary black chrome M4, had these engraved details. Don't worry about it, your camera it's a correct "wetzlar/midland" item. *I add to you a example from Roy Moss: paint, silver and black chrome M4. Cheers.
