Advertisement Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Hi andym911, Take a look here Minilux. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Finnkare Posted December 7, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 7, 2008 How do you lock the exposure and focus with it? I have never used one.
andym911 Posted December 7, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted December 7, 2008 it is auto focus, although you can manual focus using a distance setting.Exposure is Aperture priority or full auto... Exposure compensation is also possible. regards andy

MPJMP Posted December 8, 2008 Share #5 Posted December 8, 2008 The minilux was my introduction to the world of Leica. Got mine back in '96 and later sold it to a friend who promptly lost it. Wish I still had it. It made some great pictures for me. The platform would actually make a great digital P&S if Leica were so inclined to resurrect it. Same here - also my introduction to Leica optical quality - embarrassingly good lens! I passed mine on to a friend, and got a s/h CM (mainly for the additional flash possibilities). andym911 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted December 8, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) thanks for the replies....also for me it was my first step into Leica. I have not used it a lot recently, preferring my CL most of the time or even my IIf. But when I do take it out I am reminded what a good little camera it is, and the lens is truly excellent. I guess if I really wanted I could cover 80% of what I shoot with it, but as we know just having one camera is not an option right:D They can be picked up today for around 200-300 Euro's in almost mint condition and can still deliver great images. cheers andy
christer Posted December 8, 2008 Share #8 Posted December 8, 2008 I bought one yesterday at the International Cameraboerse in Hamburg. Brand new in original mint condition box with all papers and the price was 75 euros. The price sticker on the box says 1598.00 but I guess that is DM and not euros. Or is it euros? Doesn't matter.
