In your photo's I like both versions for a different reason: - the B&W for it's crispiness - the warm toned one for its toning It is indeed a bit weird handling the sliders throug the whole convesion. I use an action and slide and scrape afterwards. Two things are to be watched though: you easily blow out highlights and you can just as easy get a muddy print. So it's a fine line. I tried the LAB and other conversions and now get back to "Gorman", after which I reload it in LR to enhance highlights, etc. Very nice old fashioned scene, by the way. 60-ish kitchen idea.
