GCHA Posted December 2, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I ordered a 52mm lens adapter and W/A hod for my D Lux 4 from Fotobestbuy in Hong Kong, China. After a wait of about 4 weeks, it arrived yesterday. The lens adapter, by PandaBase, mod. LA-PLX3 46mm-52mm, is well made, heavy duty machined aluminum, black anodized, matching the camera color very well. Fits the lens adapter threads on the camera body with out any binding, and gives a little bit more to grab on to with this small camera. The lens hhood, a plastic screw in, pedal type fits on to the 52mm threaded front of the lens adapter, or 52mm UV filter (supplied as well). There is no vignetting at all at the 24mm setting of the lens, even with the filter in place. Now, all I need is an L bracket w/QR, a Schneider 6X7 transparency viewer, for the LCD, and my D Lux 4 View Camera is ready to go. This is not just a P&S camera. Perhaps, front rise should be in the next upgrade... Gary

miami91 Posted February 12, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 12, 2009 HI! I'm trying to attach it to the camera, but i cannot see the correct way. Thanks I don't have that product, but have the Lensmate adapter, so this will be a guess on my part. The D-Lux 4/LX3 does not have a bayonet on the front of the lens, it has threads. To access the threads you must unscrew a small ring that runs the periphery of the outer lens barrel. It may not be obvious that the ring is there, but if you lightly touch the outside of your lens barrel (do this powered down without the lens extended) and turn counter-clockwise, it should loosen with little pressure. Once the ring is off, the adapter should screw on in the same fashion. Again, take this with a grain of salt, as I don't own the same adapter as you do. But I know that this is how the Lensmate and the Panasonic lens adapter work, so I'm guessing yours does as well. Jeff.

Ahaa!! yes, that is the way, I've tried this before too, but with a little bit scared... i don't want to crash my new camera so soon... hehe... But yes, a little more and it goes out, and the adapter now fits the camera.... Ok, now I will try it with the lens. Many thanks!!
