rob_x2004 Posted November 28, 2008 Share #4 Posted November 28, 2008 Out of interest why 400pushed rather than 800? In camera metering?

mongrelnomad Posted November 28, 2008 Share #6 Posted November 28, 2008 Out of interest why 400pushed rather than 800?In camera metering? It's just personal preference really. I love the way 400H handles colours - the whites are so creamy and the greens so rich. By taking out some of the detail and adding a bit of grain, I find that pushing it one stop actually intensifies those things I love about it. Julian I think I have seen your last image before...still love it, andy Cheers
biglouis Posted November 28, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted November 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the examples, which are very nice photographs. I like Steve's 'Lady With Coffee Cup' and Julian's 'Dude on Bench' :-) Given the variable performance of the M8 in low light, I wondered for comparison purposes how fast film performed and scanned. Am I right in remembering that there is in fact a Fuji 1600 colour film? LouisB
mongrelnomad Posted November 28, 2008 Share #8 Posted November 28, 2008 Am I right in remembering that there is in fact a Fuji 1600 colour film? LouisB There's Superia 1600. I haven't tried it as I tend to lean more towards the Pro films for their lower contrast and less saturated colours. If you do try some, be sure to post up some pics!
