Here is a pic of the 20 x 40 inch print and also the file, I am quite sure I will be able to make exhibition quality work up to 44 wide with this camera at 100 iso

Well the hi ISO stuff isn't great or as good as 100 but for certain subjects and in B&W it could work. I for one love grain in film and often shoot at ISO 1600 and 3200 on film.

A wonderful combintation is Tri-X in Rodinal at 1600. I know it shouldn't work but with agitation every 15 minutes and a 22 minute time it is fantastic. You'd have to see it to believe it. Grain is good! Noise, maybe.

I agree grain is no problem , we are programmed to look for it, plus it actually creates a smoother file - much like introducing dither into a cd recording - without - very harsh digital sound - with smoother more analogue.

I tried the alien skin filters on the dlux files and it reall is quite remarkable how film like (in a good way) the results are.

However the Dlux at 800 and 1600 do not produce grain which would be fine, but they exhibit very bad color noise and detail smearing.

Having said that I think the camera is fantastic at 100 and 200 iso, the files I think in many ways are better looking than files from my d200.

Horses for courses!!
