meng8123 Posted November 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok, I've been using Digilux3 for couple of month now, and need some advise. First of all, what are your settings for this camera when shooting direct at sunlight? I have to keep shooting and adjusting to try to find the best one but that is just wast time. second, what about the settings in-door? same thing, most the time, I shoot many of them with different settings and then goto computer to check the best one. I know I am sound like worst photographer ever:p but I love this camera's output (most of the time) so much that I just want to get it right. if anyone can help me thank you the attached photo is one of the 'bad' ones that need adjustments, let me know if you have any advise what I did wrong thank you again:o

miami91 Posted November 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2008 This has the look of center weighted metering with your aim directly at the sun. For starters, you could try multi field metering. But in general, if the sun is in your frame, you don't want to meter off of it, or you're pretty much guaranteed an under exposure. You're better off metering towards the darker areas of your landscape. Jeff.
