sean_reid Posted October 10, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just spoke with my contact at Zeiss and we talked about the ZM 25 and how it could be fitted with an alternate bayonet so as to bring up the 24 mm frame lines in the M8. They're interested and are looking into it. I'll update when I hear back. I happen to really like the drawing of the Leica 24/2.8 but the ZM is a very good lens and competition improves the breed. I love that we're, in a sense, back to a great historical situation where Zeiss is competing with Leica in the making of fine lenses for rangefinder camera. That's a situation where the photographer wins, for sure. I've reviewed both lenses on the R-D1 already and they are both impressive. Cheers, Sean
Advertisement Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Hi sean_reid, Take a look here Zeiss 25. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sdai Posted October 10, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 10, 2006 Please keep us posted, Sean ... I've zero interest in wide angle (< 35) shooting, but this is the lens I'm seriously looking at so I'll have something to cover the 35mm FOV on the M8.
