Guest malland Posted October 9, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 9, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) In of the threads someone stated that the M8 he saw was subject to viewfinder flare, unlike the new M7 and MP viewfinders. As I live in Bangkok where the light is often very bright I've had the viewfinders on my two M6s converted to the new reduced flare viewfinders. Does anyone know whether the M8 viewfinder has a reduced-flare viewfinder? Sean Reid: I hope you test this on the next M8 you receive. —Mitch/Paris
Advertisement Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Hi Guest malland, Take a look here M8 viewfinder flare. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sean_reid Posted October 9, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 9, 2006 The flare in the M8 finder is no worse than one sees in the M7. BTW, just spoke with Leica and the production review camera should be here within ten days, perhaps sooner. Cheers, Sean
marknorton Posted October 9, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 9, 2006 Does that mean you will be able to spill the beans on image quality? I assume your comments will be based (or at least reconfirmed) on the production level camera?
sean_reid Posted October 9, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 9, 2006 Hi Mark, Absolutely. Work on the second review will begin as soon as that camera arrives. Cheers, Sean
