John Thawley Posted November 19, 2008 Share #21 Posted November 19, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello John, Thanks for pointing out my spelling error. I was in a rush and forgot to edit my post (I think I made a total of 2 or 3 spelling errors, not very academic of me). Cheers! Sorry... You kind of left the door wide open for me.. donwhee Posted November 20, 2008 Share #22 Posted November 20, 2008 I finally got my Digilux 2 from Keh. Compared to the LC1 the Digilux 2 seems to feel more solid. I love the rubber texture and feel of the Digilux 2. All of a sudden the LC1 feels lacking... I know this sounds odd, considering the LC1 and Digilux 2 are essentially the same camera with different jpeg algorathims. Also the Digilux 2 that I purchased from Keh is in wonderful condition. Only the battery compartment and another part of the bottom has scratches. These scratches are minimal and perfectly acceptable. I rate the body a 9/10. I was able to take some quick shots (still at work though...). Hoping to be able to do more. But from the initial shots, wow! Shooting in jpeg, there's something that makes the image sing compared to the LC1. I noticed the LC1 tends to lean towards blue when I shoot in mixed lighting (sunlight and incadessant). The Leica seems to be slightly more warm (orange). Also, it captures the outside scene nicely (less blue), while retaining the the warm interior color. I'm amazed at that. Anyhow, back to work, and John, please feel free to properly correct any spelling errors that I've commited. Carlos, I know you will enjoy your Digilux 2.
