chris_livsey Posted January 6, 2009 Share #61 Posted January 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for this Chris. I can't work out which of the wall shots is the film from your description. Not to my taste at all, and thanks for confirming this! Thanks for the link, preview showed that then when posted I got them in a line. Grey cards are M8 the accurate grey is the balanced one Film is the closer shot. Blad shots are square obvious I think which is balanced then M8 film last. Very disappointed . I have other shots, equally poor of coloured wheelie bins
Advertisement Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Hi chris_livsey, Take a look here Kodak Ektar 100. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest volkerm Posted January 6, 2009 Share #62 Posted January 6, 2009 Anyone have any success scanning this at home? Yes. From my experience, the Ektar scans without any problems. I am using a Coolscan V scanner with Nikon Scan software.

chris_livsey Posted January 6, 2009 Share #66 Posted January 6, 2009 Should the M8 shot not be white balanced to the same as the Hassy shot for comparison purposes?! Now we are treading on the edge of the film forum. Even balancing to same temp doesn't give a comparison as the profiles are different. These are both in C1 to 5650 +1. I have cropped the M8 to the blad, not with deadly accuracy but enough for comparison. Sussed the multiple posts, thanks Andy. This is the Leica M8 croppped from 35mm Planar Welcome, dear visitor! chris_livsey Posted January 6, 2009 Share #67 Posted January 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I should add these screen shots look very much like the prints in colour, a bit less contrast on the prints. If anyone has a top notch scanner and they want to have a go I am happy to post the negs off within the UK just PM me. Bear in mind all these shots had no post work other than white balance so no cheating
