DavidStone Posted November 10, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 10, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just downloaded C1 v.4.5.2, which claims to have squashed a few bugs, but as for the first version of 4.5, it will not recognise the majority of my M8 files, so I'm returning to 4.0.1, which is the last version that works for me without problems. I'm on Mac OS10.5.5. Anyone else had this problem of the new version not reading existing files? David
Advertisement Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Hi DavidStone, Take a look here C1 4.5.2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photon42 Posted November 10, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2008 No problem. Same OS, same versions. Between 4.1 and 4.5, the C1 cache file format has evidently changed. I think the development information was at least transferred. I don't usually keep them anyway for a longer time.
DavidStone Posted November 11, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted November 11, 2008 No problem. Same OS, same versions. Between 4.1 and 4.5, the C1 cache file format has evidently changed. I think the development information was at least transferred. I don't usually keep them anyway for a longer time. I'm sure that this is how it should work. The reason might be that I placed 4.5 in a separate location - as instructed in the notes - since I wanted to easily revert to the earlier version in case of problems. This is my second attempt at using 4.5. The first time I de-installed the old version first, then discovered that 4.5 would not recognise the majority of my files, so this time I played safe. what installation procedure did you use?
