I will appreciate any feedback you may have. Thanks. Guy
Advertisement Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Hi gvaliquette, Take a look here Freestyle Photographic Supplies, Hollywood, CA. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rads21 Posted November 10, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2008 Freestyle is great. And the only place I know of for Rodinal. I would not hesitate at all to recommend them.
peter_n Posted November 10, 2008 Share #3 Posted November 10, 2008 Their latest thing is Arista Premium which is said by everyone who've done side-by-side comparisons to be Tri-X, take a look at the price per 35mm 36exp roll - US$2. They sell a lot to the educational community and are always looking for innovative ways to sell OEM film under the Arista brand and are always coy about what it actually is. The prices are very good. They do support the film community in the US and for that many support them. My own experience buying darkroom supplies and film has been great and I would recommend them to you. They have a minimum order requirement - very low I think its $25.
sbelyaev Posted November 10, 2008 Share #4 Posted November 10, 2008 Probably, it is one of the best photo stores in the country.
leicar888 Posted November 10, 2008 Share #5 Posted November 10, 2008 I have been buying film and darkroom supplies from Freestyle for approximately 10 years and I have never experienced a moment that led me to be displeased with their handling of anything. Additionally, they have an awesome inventory of so many things related to film photography. I live not far from their Hollywood store and it is so convenient to be able to drive to it when I am low on, say, paper developer, and quickly buy some more so easily. tgray Posted November 10, 2008 Share #6 Posted November 10, 2008 Just to pile on, they are great. They don't sell quite as much photo gear as B&H, but I try to do all my film and darkroom shopping with them.
