Advertisement Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Hi digitalod, Take a look here d-lux 4 question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
brucek Posted November 7, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2008 Do you mean adjust the exposure to compensate for a backlit subject? If Yes then you need to press the up arrow button to bring up the exposure compensation adjust. But what mode are you shooting in? The adjustment doesn't come up if you're in Manual mode. brucek Posted November 7, 2008 Share #6 Posted November 7, 2008 A newbie reading the manual? How novel! And how refreshing! Yes, the backlight compensation referred to is indeed to compensate for a backlit subject. Pressing that up arrow button should bring up the EV adjustment bar. Antenzagl Posted November 9, 2008 Share #8 Posted November 9, 2008 It seems that you have found a firmware bug. In fact, initially in "IA" mode, pressing the up button gives you a simple backlight option. But later on, by some mysterious circumstances, it changes to the general EV compensation function as found in the other modes. Werner

Antenzagl Posted November 15, 2008 Share #10 Posted November 15, 2008 Maybe Reset the camera? I haven't tried myself because I like it as it is now. I also wouldn't call this a bug anymore Werner
