johnastovall Posted November 5, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 5, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm working on restoring a 13352 polarizer which is missing the polarizing element. I've found a source of 2mm thick polarizers in various diameters. The ring which would hold the filter in has an OD of 44mm. I'm assuming this would be the size filter required? Ideas and suggestions wanted.

I disassembled the 13352 again and measured the glass - it is exactly 42.8mm. You can probably do with a 43 to 43.5mm diameter glass too; I still have about 1mm room to spare. My glass came out of a 44mm Vivitar Polarizer but, filter mounts differ and not necessarily other 44mm Polarizers will have the same size glass in it.... Good luck!
