You never point a digital sensor directly at the sun, as you mentioned you would do. Set your camera on a tripod, block off the eyepiece and follow John's instructions. I still think that you have something on your sensor. If the spots show up again in the same place then you have something on your sensor and it will likely need cleaning. If you know longer see the spots, then maybe the dust shaker has done its job. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
