imported_reinierv Posted November 1, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I noticed that the from element of my 28/2.8 (latest version) can be moved slightly. Meaning if you hold the filter ring or sunshade you can move that element a bit up and down, say 1/2 mm. Is that normal?
Advertisement Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Hi imported_reinierv, Take a look here Elmarit 28/2.8 . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted November 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 1, 2008 No There are other reports of this in another thread someplace on these forums. When reading them just the other day I took a close look at mine and I'm glad to say that my copy is very tight, no movement at all of the front element/mounting. Not sure if it will stay that way over time but then I have the 3 year passport on it and with reports of so many having this problem if it does happen I'm sure Leica will fix it for free. ibogost Posted November 1, 2008 Share #3 Posted November 1, 2008 It'll get worse. This seems to be a common problem with that model. Probably best to just send it in when it becomes convenient to do so. It took mine 10 weeks to get back to me.

imported_reinierv Posted November 1, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted November 1, 2008 may be true actually just ordered a cabinet to store papers in and they delivered some wrong parts... and all traffic lights are always red for me and in the lottery, the end-number I have is always the one with the least prices on it its true but I must admit, my D200 with 3 lenses never failed on me sofar. Only a minor issue with the DB200
