abrewer Posted October 7, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted October 7, 2006 Very appealing colors in this one, Ed, especially in the sky. Â Man, that bridge is really long! Â Â Thanks. Â Allan
biglouis Posted October 7, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted October 7, 2006 Very interesting. Can you visit the fort? I'd be interested in seeing it next time we are in the US as I have an interest in military architecture. It looks very similar in design to the Palmerston hill forts which ring Portsmouth in England. Â LouisB
MrEd Posted October 8, 2006 Author Share #4 Â Posted October 8, 2006 Thanks Allan, to give you an idea of the size of the bridge, the ship you see there is a Maersk (one of Svenning's toys) ship loaded with containers. Hi Louis, Yes, there's limited access to the fort due to the poor condition of the walls, not very safe. Â Thanks for taking time to look and comment. Â Ed. Â Â Â Â Â Â . Rower Posted October 8, 2006 Share #5  Posted October 8, 2006 Great perspective and colour composition - this bridge must be huge!  I assume I drove over it if its the Verazzano bridge?  I didn´t know that there is a Fort though undernieth.  Heiner
elansprint72 Posted October 8, 2006 Share #6 Â Posted October 8, 2006 An excellent perspective! Was this built prior to the American Revolution? That would explain why it is similar to forts in the UK? Looks like there is a lighthouse hiding behind the tree too. Â Cheers, Pete.
