An experimental M6 prototype from the early 80s is being (or by now, has been) auctioned off, and pictures of it (first I've ever seen) appear in the LFI magazine referenced in the title. Talk about Franken-camera! Basically an R4 body with the SLR bits removed and a rangefinder attached on top. Complete with R4-style motor, shutter dial, vertical metal shutter, and hinged fresnel mirror behind the lens to reflect light to the R4-style meter cell in the bottom of the camera. Auto-exposure, natch. Much taller than an M7 (even without the motor). Shown with a prototype 28 Elmarit-M with built-in sliding rectangular lens hood (kinda like the current R lens).
