zanydave Posted October 5, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just a couple of record shots really of our local inner city park which is currently going through restoration. Birkenhead Park was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton. In 1850 F.L. Olmsted, an American, visited the park as part of a tour of Europe. Olmsted later became famous as the designer of Central Park, New York into which he incorporated many of the features he first observed in Birkenhead Park. Thanks for looking. kld Posted October 7, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2006 The first one is great, well composed and moody. It well points out the calm beauty of the park on a cloudy day. -- Klaus
