GarethC Posted October 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw the ones on ebay from Heavystar but the thing is they are O rings and open ended so the question is, does anybody use these or do they make them themselves by gluing them together. The problem with the open back ones is that they don't always work for wide angle lenses, as the elements stick too far back and can get mashed. Shac Posted October 16, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 16, 2008 I have a couple of the (grey) double-ended caps and for one I epoxied a disk in the centre. The other I kept as is. I think these grey ones are slightly shallower than gluing 2 regular end caps back-to-back (which I've done with a couple for Nikon slr lenses).
