I am an expat living in Manila for past three years, and have loved every minute of our stay here in this fantastic country, especially its people whose welcome is unlike any other. I only recently discovered rangefinders earlier this year (amateur only) and purchased a Leica M8 in Tokyo with a 28mm/2.8 elmarit asph and later a 50mm/2.0 summicron asph. The 28 hardly gets used since getting the speedy 50 cron which has made me very happy. My wife recently gifted me with a 35mm summilux for my birthday and now I realize for my uses the elmarit and the cron are odd mans out. Since most of my shooting is indoor low light personal (candid family/friends photos) I am now torn between a 50 Lux or a 28 cron (speed really seems to make a difference in the shots I get in low light hand held settings) as a complement to the 35 lux. I am wondering if any members know of where leica glass (second hand or new) can be bought in Manila. I recently visited that Island Photo branch in Makati City. They had one Leica lens on display. I just can't remember what focal length it was.
